Special-Interest Races

Cancer Awareness - The competitors in this race vie for a prize of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) to be donated to the cancer-related charity of their choice.

City & Town Challenge - Politicians and their supporters compete for a engraved trophy, which they may proudly display until the 2009 Dragonboat Race.

Public Safety Officers - Police, fire, and correction officers demonstrate their fitness and competitive spirit racing for bragging rights.
